It is recognizable that media from other countries is immersed in daily life of many, bringing both benefits and problems to the local society. As for me, I think advantages are more notable than disadvantages.
注意是写对文化的优缺点 To begin with, rising living quality is one of the particular upsides of media exchange internationally, in my opinion. Without the introduction of brand new technology or valuable ideas, for example, the life in a specific area may make progress slowly or even stall. 1o years ago, China is a good illustration of this kind. At that time, Apple launched its first model of touch-screen smart phone in America. Viewing Apple’s international advertisement on television, China allowed this new model to enter the market, which motivated the mobile payment later on in China. Therefore, at present, Chinese people live in a no-wallet life, in which they lead a life most convenient in the world with electronic payment.
However, the exposure to international media risks the local people’s mind being controlled by foreigners，since how to ingest the content from media depends on individual. If a person, especially teenagers, cannot distinguish right from wrong, he or she may be misled by the exaggerated information from media. Worse, some immature youth would be induced to go against their own country, due to the malicious opinion reported on a foreign news program regarding to their country.
In my honest opinion, whatever, we should embrace the advantage such good news as advanced technology, worthy social knowledge or medical achievement in foreign media for improving our living quality and strengthening our country. Naturally, the wealth accumulated from these upsides allows local countries to pay more investment in education to teach citizens how to distinguish right from wrong.
In conclusion, even though foreign media will have both pros and cons, the advantage is more important than the downside.
